The only person you can help, save, change, fix or adjust is yourself.
You can do that to others only when they feel the need to be helped, saved, changed, fixed, or supported by you.
Ergo, should you listen to other people? It’s up to you. And, the same way, should others listen to you? It’s up to them.
But, the proposition that others should listen to what you have to proffer just because you patiently listened to them, is not something that supports rationale.
